As a dog lover why would you want to know about cats not dogs? Hey! It never hurts to look on the other side of the stone. However, if you are a true dog lover the thought of owning a cat may well be the last thing you want to think about. This article will give you some new things to consider about cats not dogs.

Have you ever really thought about why you prefer a dog over a cat? You need to consider that you may have been influenced by your parents and other family members. Their preference became your preference. And if you check you may well find their preference came from their family.

However, by having an open mind, you may discover that felines are not “evil personified” as you may have been taught by your folks.

One of the tales passed on through the years has been the myth that a cat will steal your baby’s breath away. Years ago this type of myth was called an “old wife’s tale”. There is no scientific basis for this kind of reasoning.

The Toys Cats Will Love!

image Do you walk through the pet store, see the many toys available for your cat, and wonder if the expense will be worth it? Cats can be fickle creatures, but a good time can be found with almost any toy. Cats are like children they go through stages and sometimes need age appropriate toys and can get bored very easily. Some suggestions for toys include the cat towers, stuffed mice, small amounts of catnip, stuffed animals, ribbons, and plastic balls.

From an early age, kittens learn to pick up things in their mouths. It is an instinct, just like using their claws. When a cat plays, they like to grab and bit their toys. Let us look at the toys listed above. A cat tower is a great way to teach you cat where it is appropriate to climb. It will keep them off the blinds or curtains while giving them hours of fun. You have just adopted a new kitten and named her Majesty. But now you have to say, Majesty, sure as heck is not acting like she is majestic. She’s acting like her ears are driving her nuts and itching like crazy. What can be the cause? It may well be your cats ear mites are getting the upper hand.

One of the natural things that come along with Gert’s cycle is the natural instinct for cats mating. You may well open your front door to leave for work and she will shoot out that front door like a bullet. If you haven’t noticed every feral cat, neighbors cat and even “Ol” Roscoe, the cat from across town, has been waiting on her “Queenship” to get out the door.
