Dog Training

1. Training a dog should be fun for you and your pets. If you’re not in the mood for a dog training, then do not even start. It is desirable that the training was short, for 5-10 minutes at a constant holding the interest and motivation of the dog.

If your dog does not execute commands after several attempts, do not give reward to it. Resume training after a few seconds after the execution of simple commands, and then return to the more complex commands.

Always finish training on positive note. Let the dog team, which she will perform well, then reward her for good work and finish giving an example using “rest”. Avoid common words like “OK.” Exercise dog owner and the dog itself should leave with a feeling of success.

2. Every dog should know basic obedience commands, including commands “Come,” “Down,” “Sit down!”, “Next!”, “Stop!”. Suffice it a valuable lesson is to teach the dog the commands to sit, stand and lie down, sit on a leash. And also there are some additional useful commands such as: leave, give, stop, stop.

Remember that the motivation of the dogs is that a decrease in the number of teams increases the complexity of the tasks. Success is closely tied not only to the degree of job satisfaction, but also to motivate the dog in the performance of your team. Here’s a dog issue: methane from side to side or bring up to the boss? Give the dog to understand that she needs to do, and it will increase your chances of success.

3. During training there should be no negative emotions or coercion. There should be no shouting, beating or electroshock. To achieve good results, each training session should take place in a good mood and positive life. Remember that when non-compliance with the commands the dog must not punished, and simply did not pay. Most of the dogs want to please their owners or, in extreme case, to obtain something of value (food, attention or toys).

4. Make sure that during training motivation dog was at the highest level, which means that if the reward is food, then the training should take place before a meal, not after. If, however, praise or play with the dog, and other elements of attention, then you need to plan a workout at a time when your dog is more than just demands your attention (for example, to return home from work).

To generate interest in the dog and increase the performance of complex tasks, such as lying, standing on a leash, the dog should be given moderate exercise before the main workout. Sharp excess physical capacity of the dog in the early stages of training will lead to unintended consequences.

5. Make sure that the dog received a treat, the most desirable. Dogs, for whom food is a prize well rbotayut in training, provided that this food – a favorite treat (eg, small pieces of cheese or dried slices of liver). Treats let the small size and in small amounts, the composition should not crumble, do not be large and so did not need to chew, otherwise the dog will constantly be distracted.

If praise is used as a reward, then praise your dog in high tones, sing-song – the most enjoyable for your pet, the enthusiasm in your voice will also be appreciated it. If you play with the dog used as a reward, it is best to pat the dog hair on the muzzle in the growth of wool or scratched his chest. Warning: stroking the head do not like many dogs!

6. By the time compensation is also important. After the faithful execution of the command must be given a treat in half a second that she understood the connection between the correct execution of the command and reward.

Dog Training

7. Use short commands such as sit, lie down quietly, and so in one word. Do not repeat the command. Dogs remember the command to 2 minutes. Shorter words better than long words ending in hard consonants K, T, q is better than the vowels, because you can give the team emotionally (in those cases where this is necessary).

The only team that can use three words – a team of “Come.” In this case, you first have to attract the attention of the dog, calling her name, Rex, then the word “me!” and “good boy”. Make sure your tone of voice that she was gay and not rigid.

8. Take the dog on a leash, drew her attention so that she looked straight at you and say “Look at me!”. Then say “Sit!”. Poorly trained dog will sit down slowly, that’s when you need instantly with a promotion in his voice (in the high tones and sincerely) to say “Good boy, Rex” and immediately give a reward.

Untrained dog can give a treat so that she inadvertently sat down herself to get it. Successful job ends with praise and getting goodies. In some cases, the pressure on the collar, the bottom of the casing dogs are also used.

9. When your dog will execute the commands correctly more than 85% of cases in a relaxed atmosphere, you can move on to the next level courses, beginning to encourage the command “sit” more quickly – within 3 seconds, then 2 seconds, 1 second, or immediately . Or you can also give a treat for a correct execution of the command to sit, if a dog has fulfilled its better than just touched the tail of the earth.

10. Gradually increase the performance of the dog the command “sit-stay” until she can perform it for one minute, until the owner leaves for 5 steps. Continue to increase the time and distance after the dog has successfully completed the task for 5-10 attempts. In cases of long-running commands “sit” remuneration must be given time to time, throughout this command, at least during exercise.

11. Change your team, do exercises with short and frequent, because the dog is easier to learn in short and frequent training. When the dog will learn some useful commands at constant receipt of remuneration, it means that the dog is rewarded for each correct response out of habit, then you must change the order of compensation for periodic.

First, the dog may be rewarded by 2-3 times, and then every third time, and so long as the rewards will be given randomly. It is the way of weaning goodies and work only for food. Remember that it is always important to praise your dog immediately when done correctly, this team than to reward or not later.

12. When teams are well established in a relaxed atmosphere, you can gradually begin to train in more noisy environments, while continuing to train in the yard on a leash, extending it between you and the dog and in the end without him, the dog would obey no orders. It will be very useful to engage in a relatively lively environment to achieve control over the dog, even in distracting situations. “Holy Grail” training of dogs – a dog reliable, obeying without instructions no matter what. This level can be achieved only through hard work and investment of time. So try and remember how he said about training dogs Konrad Lorenz (Konrad Lorenz): “Art and science are not sufficient, the main thing – patience.”

A vital part of training golden retrievers used for puppies has to deal with the problem of chewing. Golden retriever puppies are notorious as chewers and, left to their own devices, will chomp all the way through everything you own.

It shouldn’t be surprising in reality, since a pup utilises its mouth to discover its environment. A sport shoe or your best leather shoes, a rubber plaything or an iPhone, a piece of cloth or a posh suit; they are not choosy and will chew whenever they become bored or during teething or maybe feeling lonely.

Puppy golden retrievers, same as little children, are always exploring. They are naturally nosy. Therefore you ought to keep any belongings well out of reach. That includes everything you do not wish going into your pup’s mouth – paperbacks, magazines, mobile phones, clothes, iPod, food (particularly chocolate as it is poison to puppies) – the list goes on.

Make sure your home is safe for a puppy by checking that domestic cleaning products, rubbish and any objects that may possibly choke your dog are stored away or well beyond reach.

Puppies can be taught not to chew your possessions, however it necessitates ample resolve and patience from you:

1.	Begin with prevention. Confine the puppy to a defined area until you are positive she understands the rules. The more frequently she gets a “taste” of contraband items, the more likely she will attempt to act this way.
2.	Keep plenty of doggy items at the ready. Accept that pups need to chew. So go out and buy lots of toys and provide her a few at any time to play with, exchanging them frequently to prevent boredom.
3.	Directly watch as much as possible. When she is permitted outside of her particular place, she needs you to“steer” her while she explores the boundaries and learns what is not permitted. If you cannot supervise your dog, leave her in a cage for safety, but please do not leave her confined for extended periods because she will soon be bored.
4.	Avoid confusion as a matter of course. Never provide discarded boots or clothing, etc., to occupy her as she will be unable to appreciate the distinction between the old ones and the other ones.
5.	If you come across her chewing, take action at once. Stop her with a loud noise and pass her an substitute plaything or chew. At the moment she accepts it, praise her a great deal.

Keep in mind golden retrievers want to make you happy, although accept that failures are highly likely as your puppy learns the rules of your home. It takes patience and repetition as in whichever aspect of golden retriever puppy training. The greater time you can give, the sooner your puppy will be trained.

Are you weary of your dog barking relentlessly? Are your neighbors irritated by your dog’s unnecessary barking? Getting your dog to stop barking can be difficult and time consuming. You may feel like you are at your wits end. These tips will help you put an end to your dog’s annoying excessive barking.

It is natural for a dog to bark, just as it is natural for us to talk. However, it becomes a problem when they bark excessively and seemingly at nothing. While you do not want to completely eliminate barking, you do want to control it. Here some tricks to stop your dog’s unnecessary barking.

Why is your dog barking? You need to determine the reason behind the barking, then you can apply the proper correction. Rule out the obvious reasons such as being hungry, needing a potty break, an animal or person walking by the yard. Maybe they just miss you and need your attention. Lack of exercise can also cause your dog to bark excessively. Taking your dog for at least a 30 minute walk every day will not only benefit your dog, but you as well. Remember, a tired dog is a good dog!

After you have ruled out the obvious reasons and you have given your dog ample attention and exercise, you can begin to tackle the issue and train your dog to stop their unnecessary barking.
To begin, you need to communicate clearly what is acceptable and what is not. Do not reward your dog for barking. Do not yell at your dog, they may think you are playing along. Do not let them inside just because they are barking. Do not go out to comfort them when they are barking. Wait until they stop barking, even for a second, say “good quiet” and give a treat, even if you have to throw it to them. “Quiet” is the command to quit barking. After they are quiet, even for just a few seconds, call them to you and reward them with affection. This will teach them that if there is something to bark at, they have a short period of time to bark then come get you. Be patient, as this will take time and repetition. Remember to stay calm and never reward them while they are barking just to make them stop.

If your neighbors tell you that your dog is barking unnecessarily while you are not at home, thank them for letting you know and reassure them that you will correct the problem. To stop unnecessary barking while you are away, try the “Ambush” method. Try to “ambush” your dog by pretending to leave the house. Hide out of sight and wait until they start barking. Firmly give the “Quiet” command. When they quit barking, even if only for a second, tell them “good quiet” and give them a treat. Immediately repeat the process. Chances are this is going to be a long drawn out process, but you will have a great reward at the end! Try not to get discouraged and don’t give up! Focus on your progress, even if it is only that your dog is quiet for five minutes longer this time than the last time you “left” the house.

As with any dog behavior issues, if it seems that nothing is working or the problem is just getting worse, consult a professional trainer.

You know been recently been quizzed quite a few times why anyone could ever need dog training books, all things considered a dog’s a man’s best ally; too preferred a saying, heard it a million times, and very much ingrained into the collective unconscious. But just contemplate, can it even apply to your dog? Now It seems to be a fairly harsh thing to hear but in all honesty, individuals who first acquire a canine need to literally experience an initiation ceremony which will give the Illuminati a run for its money; they’re introduced to new regulation, never before seen spectacles, extended hour of tolerance, and challenges considerably superior to those found on Takeshi’s Castle, month in and month out.

Way too many times owners who see their domestic pets in aggressive swings are likely to possibly simply underestimate it imagining it will go away, or just lock them up inside of a dog pen, which in reality increases their fury. There are also people who have walked their furry friends into the local training school simply to be stunned still because of the rates, while quickly looking over the fact that the pet dog will be living with them, not some 3rd party canine trainer. Now agreed that you lack the experience to handle your pet dog at the moment, but that does not necessarily mean that we could not work towards it. When using the correct dog training books plus some time you’ll without a doubt turn your undomesticated hog into an obedient, sensible and “public” animal. Besides don’tyou feel that possessing a good dog training book by your side can be just convenient? What i’m saying is will you prefer calling some “expert” whenever the dog is being errand (which will be aplenty) or do you rather take things in your hand and train him what you expect, which inturn will actually make your pet dog respect you more.

For anyone who still really do not realize what they’re facing, this is the list of stuff most dog owners are confronted with: destructive chewing and digging, barking, yanking/tugging the lead, nail trimming, aggression, shyness etc. Raising a dog demands a lot of correction to be made; you ought to be sensible, understanding, without compromising on your authority and must find some methods to drive some sense into that raw id of his. The days are gone when whip-o-therapy was the one means to fix a dog which has an attitude. Today far more importance is laid on providing the canines constructive training i.e. modification is non-coercive and rightly strengthened with coercion left being an absolute last resort. Remember, your dog must learn how to admire you, not fear you.

Studies have confirmed that k9 responsiveness increases by 46.2% if the master/instructor bends on a 45 degree angle while sucking his cheeks inside and slapping the legs together ahead of issuing the instructions. Seemingly this appeals to the canine’s really evolved sense of humor which will makes them very friendly. Ok so I’m making all of this up, but just to help get the concept across…Keep It Simple! You need not get panicky about your dog’s actions; a number of simple approaches can definitely do miracles if applied at the proper time and tactfully. This really is something that only very good, recommended dog training books can show you how. Intelligence is a lot more of a technique than nearly anything innate. This skill needs to be tutored, and after that strengthened to ensure it sticks; this applies to your pup(s) as well. Pet dogs have a disposition to get bright, nonetheless it is up to you to enhance the brightness in yours. In order for you to get this perfect you need a step by step guide that teaches you exactly what to do in any given situation. To do that you need the best dog training books.
